Job Description
The Harvest Inn is an idyllic resort designed to celebrate the vineyard way of life, with 81 luxurious accommodations nestled into four uniquely crafted neighborhoods, two secluded swimming pools, and a plush spa with indoor and outdoor facilities. Surrounded by lush landscaping of expansive clipped lawns, Harvest Inn has serene shaded groves, partially forested by towering redwoods. Harvest Inn is home to gardens of agricultural botanicals that produce many of the ingredients on the menus of our on-property restaurant, Harvest Table .
Overview:
The Harvest Inn is currently seeking a professional Sous Chef to join our Harvest Table kitchen. Our Executive Sous Chef will act as second in charge to the Executive Chef. The successful candidate will employ its culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers' satisfaction.PAY SCALE
The starting salary for this position is $32-35.00 This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel experience, and education.Position Scope:
Harvest Table Sous Chef is responsible for actively ensuring a superior guest experience through accommodating and knowledgeable service and excellent food. They support the Executive Chef and the entire team by organizing, planning, and directing activities in all aspects of the kitchen and back of house. They actively embody, inspire and teach skills that will elevate the core values, mission and vision of Harvest Table and Woodside Hotel Group. 4+ years of Kitchen management experience in a high volume, detail-oriented and excellence-driven environment Must have extensive culinary knowledge- a culinary degree is preferred Must understand the complexities of executing banquet functions from 20 to 200 ppl and be able to lead this effort with attention to detail Must be able to work with restaurant personnel, as a unified team, to create a positive work environment Must love creating delicious food and providing an amazing guest experience Excellent work ethic and dedication to the hospitality industry Must be skilled in Menu Development; Culinary Menu R&D / Recipe Development Must be driven to lead a high-performing team in a way that is consistent with the culture of Harvest Table.
