Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time opportunity with school districts in the Greenwood, Colorado area for the 2026-2027 school year. We are seeking dedicated professionals who are committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping them achieve academic success.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered, including: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Education teaching license Compliance with all state and district certification requirements Ability to pass background checks and drug screening as required Previous experience working with students with special needs preferred
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Adapt general education curriculum to meet the needs of students with disabilities Provide direct instruction in a variety of settings, including inclusive and self-contained classrooms Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
