Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to inspire and support students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. We are partnering with a vibrant educational community seeking multiple compassionate, driven educators to fill full-time contract positions in a supportive environment. You'll play a crucial role in empowering students with exceptionalities, fostering growth, and collaborating with dedicated colleagues. Multiple openings are available, including a 6th-grade co-teaching assignment with a projected caseload of 11 students (SLD & OHI) and direct instruction roles serving K-3rd grade, with caseloads of around 10 students (OHI, AUT, SLD, ID, DD).
Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience or strong interest in co-teaching models and direct instruction Positive, adaptable approach to diverse classrooms Excellent communication and collaborative skills Knowledge and experience working with exceptionalities such as SLD, OHI, AUT, ID, and DD preferred Ability to develop and implement IEPs effectively
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver differentiated lesson plans targeting individual student needs Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success Track student progress and maintain accurate records Provide both academic and behavioral support in a nurturing environment Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing program development
