Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact this summer by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a contract role designed for enrichment and growth. This opportunity focuses on working with a homebound student near Lizella, GA in a collaborative environment that integrates virtual therapy services. You'll play a crucial part in the student's summer learning plan, closely collaborating with a team of virtual Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapists. An onsite paraprofessional will assist you by facilitating daily activities, ensuring a smooth and productive learning experience.
Key Qualifications:
Valid credentials as a Special Education Teacher Experience working with students requiring specialized instruction Comfortable working collaboratively with remote therapy professionals (OT, PT, SLP) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual needs
Core Responsibilities:
Provide tailored instruction for a homebound student according to the student's IEP goals Coordinate with virtual therapy professionals to integrate therapy recommendations into daily instruction Work alongside an onsite paraprofessional to support and engage the student Track progress and document milestones throughout the summer session Maintain a structured and positive learning environment Ensure clear communication with students, paraprofessional, and virtual team members
