Job Description

Highland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive, resident-focused skilled nursing environment with a strong rehab leadership team and a collaborative interdisciplinary staff. Key Responsibilities Provide speech, language, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia therapy to residents. Conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement targeted interventions. Document progress notes clearly and timely in accordance with facility guidelines. Collaborate with nursing, rehab, dietary, and social services to support resident goals. Participate in care plan meetings and communicate progress with families when appropriate. Maintain compliance with state, federal, and professional regulatory standards. Qualifications Active SLP license in the state of New York. Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred, but strong clinical backgrounds also considered. Solid understanding of geriatric communication and swallowing disorders.
