Sr. Tax Resolution Associate

This role is responsible for managing delivery of services and solutions in our Tax Resolution division. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of how to correctly apply tax resolution knowledge and procedures to secure the best client outcomes. This role requires a forward-thinking professional who can communicate succinctly and effectively. We prioritize customer relationship-oriented professionals who possess strong critical thinking skills, professionalism, trustworthiness, and excellent negotiation skills. Duties and Responsibilities Serve as primary contact for clients during on-boarding and delivery of services including development and presentation of client engagements, service proposals, and referral services Negotiate state and IRS collection matters including, but not limited to, payment plans, offers in compromise, currently non-collectible, trust fund recovery penalty, audit reconsiderations, innocent spouse, etc. Initiate and manage communications (verbal and written) with revenue officers, agents, ACS, third-parties, etc. necessary to support your client's position(s) Review and analyze client financial records, bank and lending statements, business documents, etc. Manage client relationships and provide exceptional customer service throughout the client lifecycle Research and leverage knowledge of tax laws and taxpayer rights in the IRM, IRC, and other state laws to utilize appeals and defensive actions to protect client from unwanted enforcement actions Leverage extensive technology stack including proprietary tools to ensure improved customer efficiency and enhance customer experience Ability to develop, implement, and deploy tasks directly aligned with divisional KPIs and meet targets consistently for yourself and your direct reports Qualifications BA/BS in related field and J.D, C.P.A. and/or Enrolled Agent with active license required 6-10+ years of tax industry experience Solid understanding of Federal (IRS) and State tax resolution procedures and processes and strong technical tax research skills Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing High aptitude, excellent independent judgement, strong organizational and time management skills Polished presentation skills and proficient client advocacy skills Ability to multi-task, proficient with technology and ability to learn new software platforms
