Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Substitute Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. In this role, you will step into classrooms across various grade levels and subjects, providing seamless instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment. Your energy and adaptability will ensure that students remain engaged and supported, even in the absence of their regular teacher. Responsibilities Deliver lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher, ensuring continuity of instruction across subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies. Implement classroom management strategies to promote a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment for all students. Engage with children using effective communication skills, encouraging participation and supporting diverse learning needs. Adapt to different classroom settings, including preschool, elementary, middle school, or special education environments such as early childhood education or autism support. Manage behavior proactively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to maintain focus and order. Collaborate with school staff to understand specific classroom routines, curriculum development needs, and student accommodations. Support children's social-emotional development by fostering a nurturing atmosphere that promotes confidence and curiosity. Experience Prior classroom experience in educational settings such as preschools, private schools, or public schools is preferred. Demonstrated ability in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to various age groups and learning styles. Experience working with children with special needs, including autism spectrum disorder or other disabilities, is highly valued. Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with students, teachers, parents, and staff. Background in early childhood education or childhood development enhances your ability to connect with young learners. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies essential for maintaining an organized learning environment. Previous tutoring or one-on-one instructional experience is a plus for supporting individual student needs.
