Job Description

Tags and Title Clerk Summary Description This position is responsible for processing tag and title paperwork, adding motorcycles to inventory, along with proper titling of new, used, and wholesale units for the dealership. Prepares and submits monthly financial information and assists by providing a full range of administrative support as needed. Key Result Areas
  • Timely processing of transactions
  • Documentation accuracy
  • Filing completed motorcycle deals
  • Financial reporting Primary Duties and Responsibilities 1) Processing Transactions
  • Ensures retail transactions are processed in a timely manner.
  • Prepares purchase and trade-in documentation.
  • Contacts banks to obtain lien releases.
  • Prepare out-of-state title work and submit to third-party agency as required.
  • Comply with Department of Motor Vehicle regulations, file all required reports, and remit all payments on a timely basis. 2) Documentation Accuracy
  • Confirm accuracy of VIN number, odometer reading, releases of liens and that all titles contain no alterations.
  • Verify accuracy of documents returned from County Clerk office.
  • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and all work processes.
  • Correct all State rejections and other title or registration discrepancies and research to find resolution.
  • Comply with Department of Motor Vehicle regulations, file all required reports, and remit all payments on a timely basis. 3) Filing
  • File all forms and documents for completed motorcycle transactions.
  • Maintain alphanumeric filing system. 4) Financial Reporting
  • Prepare, review and submit monthly financial reports and statistics as required. special financial analyses as directed by management.
  • Investigate and correct any anomalies. Commitments

  • Be honest and fair in all business dealings . Qualifications & Job Requirements
  • High degree of accuracy and time management.
  • At least 1+ year of DMV experience.
  • Customer service background with phone and computer experience.
  • Experience using various Google Drive applications to include but not limited to GoogleSheets and GoogleDocs a plus.
  • Experience using an Internet browser.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to resolve problems with other dealership employees, suppliers, Harley-Davidson representative and governmental agencies. Physical Demands
  • Occasionally required to bend, stoop, crouch, and reach.
  • Occasionally requires the ability to lift up to 15 pounds of material.
  • Frequently requires the ability to sit and/or stand throughout work shift. Working Conditions
  • Majority of work is conducted in a climate controlled indoor environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
  • Occasionally exposed moving vehicles.
  • Occasionally exposed to exhaust fumes. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities 1) Customer Service
