Teacher 2, 3, 4 Summer Session (Hourly)

Prepare or modify curriculum and course outlines.

Prepare daily or weekly lesson plans and conduct a schedule of formal instruction for residents of an Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) facility.

Each Level:

For Teacher 2: Current New York State Education Department initial certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty.

For Teacher 3: Current New York State permanent/professional certification in the appropriate specialty.

For Teacher 4: New York State permanent/professional certification in the appropriate specialty and two years of post-certification (provisional/initial/conditional or permanent/professional) teaching experience in the appropriate specialty. Prospective employees whose names appear on the SEL as having been found responsible for serious or repeated acts of abuse or neglect will be barred from appointment and may have their names removed from the eligible list(s) for the title(s) if applicable.
