Teacher - Grade 5

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic educator to join our team at Lightfoot Elementary as a Grade 5 Teacher. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Assess and evaluate student progress through various assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to students and parents. Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect. Manage classroom behavior and implement effective discipline strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to school-wide initiatives and professional development. Participate in school events, meetings, and committees as required. Stay current with educational trends and best practices, incorporating new strategies into your teaching. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; Valid teaching certification or license for Grade 5 or willing to obtain. Experience teaching at the elementary level. Strong understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Proficient in using technology and educational software to enhance learning. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable classroom environment.
