Prosperity is seeking an intern to join our Actuarial team. The Actuarial internship program is designed to provide students with challenging and educational projects that promote both personal and professional development. Interns typically assist in pricing, modeling, and financial reporting, working side-by-side or remotely with experienced actuaries.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide entry-level professional services as appropriate to the actuarial functions. Receive guidance, training, and mentoring from senior personnel in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
- Create and use actuarial calculation tools.
- Maintain and refine actuarial processes to improve efficiency.
- Assist in implementing automation processes to create supporting files for models in MG-ALFA.
- Gain a comprehensive overview of life and annuity products, actuarial techniques, and the life insurance industry.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks requested by various business functions (e.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- In senior year, working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in math, actuarial science, or related field with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, good time management, and the ability to work independently.
- Strong technical skills and experience with databases (Excel, SQL, Python).
- Passage of one or more Society of Actuaries exams (highly preferred).
