Product Manager

  • RemoteRole OverviewFor our direct client, a prestigious global firm based in Northern New Jersey, we are seeking an experienced leader in product, technology, and data platforms to drive the evolution of enterprise data and analytics applications within a large-scale global platform.
This is a long-term contract opportunity, with an initial term of 6 months and the potential for extension. The role offers the flexibility of fully remote work, with occasional travel to the New Jersey office as needed.

In this position, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of enterprise data and analytics capabilities, with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI integration. You will operate at the intersection of product, engineering, and analytics, translating complex data needs into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support global client delivery.

You will work directly with consultants, engineers, and data specialists to ensure our analytics platform supports real-world client delivery across ingestion, transformation, modeling, and visualization. You will translate business requirements into platform capabilities that scale globally.

This role is ideal for a TPM who deeply understands professional services delivery models for analytics to clients and can operate as both a system architect partner and a product leader.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Ownership & Strategy
  • Own the product roadmap for Microsoft Fabric across ingestion, transformation, orchestration, modeling, and analytics
  • Define Fabric as the enterprise system of record for analytics workloads across engagements
  • Identify platform gaps that impact consultant productivity and client delivery outcomes
  • Translate user needs into scalable product capabilities and technical investment plansPlatform Architecture & Design
  • Partner with Engineering & Architecture to shape the Fabric architecture:o OneLake designo Lakehouses & Warehouseso Data orchestrationo Semantic modelso Power BI integrationDefine technical standards for:o Data ingestion patternso Transformation strategieso Data modeling approacheso Performance optimizationOwn design decisions around:o Client isolationo Feature flagso Environment strategy (Dev/Test/Prod)o Security patternsDelivery Enablement for ConsultantsWork closely with consulting teams to:o Understand real client use caseso Uncover friction points with data identification, ingestion, and transformationo Define approaches for using standardized analytics patternsBuild a strategy around how consultants will interact with:o Pre-built data schemaso Repeatable pipelineso Reusable analytic routines and notebookso Common transformation logic for customization and configurationTechnical LeadershipCollaborate with engineering to:o Prioritize technical investmentso Drive performance enhancementso Improve scalability and reliability•
Define:
o Monitoring & observability strategyo Cost management modelso Capacity planningo Own platform documentation and standardsStakeholder Management
  • Partner with:o Engineeringo Designo Security & Complianceo Internal consulting and advisory teamso Translate between technical teams and business stakeholderso Present platform roadmap and progress to senior leadershipQualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with significant experience in the technology sector
  • Strong understanding of product delivery, with the ability to develop and analyze product architecture
