AI Automation & Applications Engineer Wilmac Technologies Wilmac Technologies is an AI-driven software company focused on transforming customer interaction and workforce data into intelligent, automated systems. Our platforms — Wilmac Continuity Replay and Wilmac Continuity Workforce Management (WFM) — help organizations in highly regulated industries capture, analyze, and operationalize critical communications. AI isn't a side project here. We're embedding advanced AI, agent-driven workflows, and intelligent automation directly into our products and internal operations — and this role sits at the center of that effort. AI Engineer Role Overview We're looking for an engineer who builds and ships. This is a hands-on role on our development team, focused on bringing AI capabilities directly into Wilmac's SaaS products. You'll design and implement AI-powered features that our customers interact with every day — from intelligent workflows and retrieval systems to agent-driven automation. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to internal AI initiatives that improve how our teams work, but your primary focus will be product development. You'll be expected to identify the right approach, choose the right tools, and own the result end-to-end. This is not a research role. This is not a policy role. You will be building and shipping. What You'll Do Product AI Development Implement AI-powered features inside our SaaS platforms Design retrieval-based workflows (RAG) and structured extraction systems Integrate AI services into existing product infrastructure Improve quality, reliability, and performance of AI-powered systems over time Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ship AI capabilities to customers Internal AI Automation Build AI-powered workflows that improve how our Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams work Integrate LLM APIs with internal systems and third-party tools Evaluate and implement off-the-shelf AI platforms where they're the right fit Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate based on real-world feedback Day-to-Day Building and shipping AI-powered features within our product codebase Designing prompts, structured outputs, and agent-driven workflows Connecting APIs and building integrations across internal and external systems Configuring and extending AI platforms — open-source or SaaS Working with structured data and databases Deploying and maintaining production-ready systems Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to understand problems and communicate solutions What We're Looking For 4-7 years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, or technical implementation — we're open to strong candidates at both ends of that range Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) Strong understanding of AI application patterns: RAG, structured outputs, tool use, and agent workflows Experience integrating third-party APIs and SaaS platforms Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and business teams Strong ownership mindset and bias toward execution 1+ years of work experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) We don't require a specific tech stack. Whether you reach for an off-the-shelf automation platform, deploy open-source software, or build something custom, we care that you can choose the right tool for the job and deliver a working result. Nice to Have Experience with workflow automation platforms (e.g., n8n, Make, Zapier) Familiarity with AI evaluation or observability tools (e.g., LangSmith, Braintrust) Background in SaaS product development Experience in contact center, workforce management, or regulated industry environments What Success Looks Like Within 6-12 months, you will have: Shipped AI-powered features used by customers in our product suite Integrated at least one significant AI capability into our platform Contributed to internal AI workflows that improve team productivity Laid scalable foundations for future AI product initiatives To apply, send your resume to openings@wilmactech.com or apply on LinkedIn .
