ADMINISTRATOR, SAP BASIS, RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for tasks under SAP Basis installation, performance tuning, upgrades, transports, client implementation, and troubleshooting system problems. Install and configure SAP systems, ensuring optimal performance through regular tuning and upgrades. Manage transports and client implementations, and troubleshoot system issues to maintain smooth operations. Research, investigate, and implement upgrade tasks for various client applications used for different SAP applications. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify necessary upgrades for client applications. Implement these upgrades to enhance functionality and performance of SAP applications. Implement and maintain SAP BTP services. Configure and manage SAP BTP subaccounts, spaces, entitlements, and service instances; manage connectivity between SAP BTP and on-premises systems via Cloud Connector and Destination services. Monitor and troubleshoot SAP Web Dispatcher for load balancing HTTP(s) traffic. Regularly monitor SAP Web Dispatcher to ensure efficient load balancing of HTTP(s) traffic. Troubleshoot any issues that arise to maintain optimal performance. Administer SAP print management. Manage and configure SAP print settings to ensure efficient and reliable printing operations within the SAP environment. Promote changes between systems using Change Management for SAP ABAP and Java Stack systems. Facilitate and manage changes between SAP systems using established Change Management processes for both ABAP and Java Stack systems. Day-to-day system administration tasks, including supporting and monitoring of applications such as
SAP ERP, SAP CRM, SAP
Gateway, SAP
GRC, SAP GTS, SAP
Enterprise Portal, SAP Solution Manager, and OpenText Vendor Invoice Management systems. Perform daily system administration tasks, including monitoring and supporting various SAP applications to ensure their smooth operation and addressing any issues promptly. Configure SSO/SAML, OAuth for accessing SAP Application and Native applications using SAP. Set up and manage Single Sign-On (SSO), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), and OAuth configurations to enable secure access to SAP applications and native applications. Work collaboratively with the SAP teams and key business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for implementing new features and functionality. Collaborate with SAP teams and business SMEs to identify, plan, and implement new features and functionalities that enhance the SAP environment. Support various SAP systems with performance analysis and tuning, kernel upgrades, support pack, and enhancement pack installations. Provide ongoing support for SAP systems, including performance analysis, tuning, and the installation of kernel upgrades, support packs, and enhancement packs. Administration of
SAP HANA
databases. Manage and administer
SAP HANA
databases, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor's (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science/Engineering, Electronics & Comm./Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field plus 5 years of Work experience in SAP Basis or in a closely related occupation.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE OF:
Experience with SAP NetWeaver and
SAP S/4HANA
architecture in order to design, configure, and maintain SAP system landscapes, including multi-tier environment and highavailability configurations. Knowledge of SAP Basis administration tools and techniques in order to perform system installations, upgrades, support package implementations, and kernel patching. Proficiency in SAP transport management system (TMS) in order to manage and troubleshoot transport routes and ensure the integrity of development and production environments. Experience with performance tuning and system optimization in order to monitor systems performance, analyze bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies to ensure optimal system operation. Understanding of SAP BTP and the ability to configure/manage SAP BTP subaccounts, spaces, entitlements, and service instances; managing connectivity between SAP BTP and on premises systems via Cloud Connector and Destination services. Familiarity with database administration (e.g., HANA, Oracle, SQL Server) in order to perform database backups, restores, and performance tuning in support of SAP systems. Experience with SAP Solution Manager and system monitoring tools in order to proactively monitor systems, perform root cause analysis, and manage system alerts and incidents. Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows, UNIX) in SAP environments in order to manage OS-level configurations, scripting, and troubleshooting issues affecting SAP system performance. (MUST
