Job Description

Description The Business Intelligence Specialist III provides advanced data and analytics support to UCLA Health, enabling data-driven decision-making across the health system. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and managing complex databases that support efficient workflows and comply with regulatory requirements. The incumbent partners with clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholders to support performance improvement initiatives, delivering high-quality reports, analyses, and Tableau dashboards. They translate complex data into actionable insights and present findings to health system leaders and cross-functional teams. This role also leads and manages data-driven projects, proactively identifying critical issues and developing effective solutions using PDCA and Lean methodologies. The Business Intelligence Specialist III works with a high degree of independence, collaborates effectively within a team environment, and leverages technology to optimize processes and enhance organizational performance. This is a flex-hybrid role which will require you to be onsite as required by operational need; there are no reimbursements for travel to "home office" location. Each employee must complete a Hybrid Work Agreement with their manager which will outline arrangement parameters and aids both parties in fully understanding expectations. Arrangements are regularly evaluated, and are subject to termination. Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position is $ 86,400 - $ 184,800 annually . The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is approximately between the start and midpoint of this range.
