We're hiring an Anesthesia Data Product Manager to be his right hand on that engagement — the person who turns clinical questions into data, data into insight, and insight into measurable improvements in the OR. This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable standing in a pre-op area talking with anesthesiologists and CRNAs, and sitting with an engineering team defining what a dashboard needs to show. You'll own the data and process-improvement workstream: scoping the questions worth answering, sourcing the data to answer them, and driving changes that make anesthesia and perioperative care safer, faster, and more efficient. Responsibilities Partner directly with our CTO/consultant to translate clinical and operational goals into a clear data and process-improvement roadmap. Define, source, and validate perioperative and anesthesia data — from
AIMS/EHR
systems, OR scheduling, and case records — and turn it into trustworthy metrics. Track and drive the KPIs that matter in the
OR:
first-case on-time starts, turnover time, block and room utilization, case cancellations and delays, PACU throughput, and anesthesia-related quality and safety measures. Run structured process-improvement cycles — map current-state workflows, identify bottlenecks, test changes, and quantify impact. Serve as the bridge between clinical stakeholders and the engineering team: write clear requirements, prioritize the backlog, and make sure what gets built actually answers the clinical question. Present findings and recommendations to clinical and executive audiences in language each of them can act on. Support the client engagement day to day — keeping the work organized, on schedule, and grounded in the realities of the clinical environment. Qualifications Demonstrated experience using data to improve healthcare — measurable operational, quality, or efficiency gains, not just reporting. Comfort working in a clinical environment , including the perioperative or OR setting, alongside physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff. A working understanding of anesthesia fundamentals — the phases of care, common workflows, terminology, and what drives OR efficiency and safety. A background in using data for process improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA, or equivalent structured methodology). Experience working with an engineering or technical team — writing requirements, prioritizing work, and collaborating through delivery.
Preferred:
Clinical background (preferably familiar with perioperative workflows) Hands-on experience with anesthesia information management systems (AIMS) or perioperative EHR modules (e.g., Epic OpTime/Anesthesia, Cerner/Oracle Health, or similar). Comfort working directly with data — SQL, BI/dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau), or similar — enough to explore data yourself, not only via others. Formal process-improvement or project/product credentials (Lean/Six Sigma certification, PMP, CPHQ, or clinical informatics background). Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing capacity.
