IT Help Desk SpecialistCompany OverviewA growing professional services organization based in Los Angeles, California is seeking an IT Help Desk Specialist to provide responsive technology support to employees and help maintain reliable day-to-day IT operations. The organization offers a collaborative environment where team members can gain exposure to a broad range of Microsoft technologies while developing their technical skills and growing into additional IT responsibilities.

Role SummaryThe IT Help Desk Specialist will serve as a first point of contact for employees experiencing technology issues. This role will provide hands-on support across Windows devices, Microsoft 365, user accounts, hardware, software, printers, networking, and remote connectivity. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting fundamentals, excellent customer service skills, and an interest in growing their career in IT support and systems administration.

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide first-level technical support for employees through in-person, email, phone, collaboration tools, and ticketing channels.

Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, passwords, account lockouts, printers, peripherals, VPN, Wi-Fi, and basic network connectivity issues.

Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including user account setup, access changes, and workstation preparation.

Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, software, and other workplace technology.

Manage support requests through the IT ticketing system, documenting troubleshooting steps and ensuring timely resolution or escalation.

Support Active Directory and cloud-based identity administration for routine user and access requests.

Maintain technology inventory, documentation, and internal knowledge resources.

Assist senior IT staff with software deployments, system testing, documentation, and company-wide technology projects.

Coordinate with technology vendors and escalate complex technical issues when appropriate.

Communicate technical solutions clearly and professionally to non-technical users.

Additional DetailsFully onsite Standard schedule: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch breakOccasional overtime may be required during peak business periods and month-end activitiesLimited local travel may occasionally be requiredOpportunity to gain experience across a broad Microsoft-focused IT environment and grow into more advanced technical responsibilities
