Position Title Operations Support Specialist (GA) Position Classification Exempt Position Type This position is full-time and is scheduled to work standard business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On-call base support may be required to meet mission requirements. Work Location On-site at Albany, GA, in support of PM CSS (Program Manager Combat Support Systems). Position Description Provides on-site Operations Support to the PM CSS overall organization at Albany, GA. The Operations Support Specialist performs a broad range of administrative and operational support functions in direct support of PM CSS organizations. In this role, the Operations Support Specialist will: Essential Position Functions Support the preparation, tracking, and reporting of all SAAR and building access requests within PM CSS Provide support with Federal Express shipping and receiving Support printing, scanning, shredding, and faxing operations via on-call base support to PM CSS Provide support in the preparation of an organizational command chronology and update it monthly Pick up mail at the Marine Corps Systems Command mail room and deliver official Government mail to the intended addressee Maintain and organize electronic files via the organizational shared drive in support of PM CSS organizations Process and submit telephone and data port requests within 5 minutes of receipt Process and submit facility requests in support of PM CSS organizations within 5 minutes of receipt of the task Collect and consolidate all DSSC office supply requests and facilitate procurement and storage of supplies for PM CSS Update and maintain personnel rosters monthly per organization, and provide recall rosters upon employee new join or departure Review Defense Travel System (DTS) authorizations and vouchers upon submission by Government travelers from MARCORSYSCOM organizations, and provide DTS technical assistance to the user Support morning reporting via SharePoint and via Marine-On-Line in support of the organization Support new hire processing and on-boarding into PM CSS for 2-3 new joins annually Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Manager Competencies for the role The Operations Support Specialist demonstrates strong organizational, administrative, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent taskers, meet tight response-time requirements, and provide reliable administrative support across a large organization. Physical Requirements for the role This position requires the ability to work at a computer for extended periods, including viewing monitors, using keyboards, and operating standard office equipment (printers, scanners, shredders, and fax machines). The role also requires the ability to walk to and from the mail room and other offices on base, and to lift and carry mail, packages, and office supplies (up to 25 pounds). Reports To Assigned Program Manager Supervisory responsibilities None Work Environment The work environment for this position is an on-site Government office setting at Albany, GA, and involves regular use of computers, office equipment, and related technology, along with frequent in-person collaboration with Government and contractor personnel. Work is generally performed during normal business hours, with on-call base support as needed, and the environment supports adherence to established security, safety, and organizational policies. Security Clearance Requirements Able to obtain a SECRET clearance Travel Requirements Minimal to no travel is anticipated; this is an on-site position at Albany, GA.
