Job Summary To assess, maintain, and support the technology infrastructure and educational tools of assigned school(s) to ensure an uninterrupted learning environment. Education and Experience Degree in information technology or related field and/or two years of experience in computer technology support. Experience with Google Admin Console and multiple computer and mobile device operating systems (Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, iOS). Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) and modern computer imaging/provisioning (e.g., Jamf, Google Zero-Touch, Mosyle). Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and wireless troubleshooting. Hold and maintain a valid Iowa driver's license. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. Performance Responsibilities Provide first-line technical assistance and hardware/software repair for computers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment (printers, scanners, document cameras). Install, troubleshoot, and maintain instructional audio-visual equipment, including interactive displays, projectors, and sound systems. Assist in the maintenance and improvement of the assigned school's networking infrastructure (cabling, access points, and switches). Support and promote district cybersecurity initiatives, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) assistance and user awareness. Maintain accurate hardware and software inventories; assist with the lifecycle tracking and surplus of aging equipment. Utilize the district help desk system to document all support requests, resolutions, and "How-To" guides for common issues. Assist in developing short- and long-term IT goals and budget recommendations for assigned school(s). Maintain a proactive working relationship with Central Rivers AEA staff and IT leaders. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with emerging educational technologies and security best practices. Serve as a point of contact for external vendors regarding warranty repairs or specialized service calls. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of IT or designee.
