Job Description

PC Support Technician Job Brief Performs helpdesk support in the information technology department related to personal computers, peripheral equipment, and user hardware/software needs as well as network and telecommunications operations and procedures. Essential Duties Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and perform testing activities on various computer equipment, peripherals, data communication, and computer network systems. Assemble, install, configure, and test computer equipment. Install equipment, connect, and move devices. Use electronic test equipment, to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Use computer-aided diagnostics to locate malfunctions. Maintain software and hardware inventory and tracking systems; develop inventory lists and order, stock, and store computer accessories that are often replaced. Provide support to users relating to both hardware and software problems on their personal computers. Perform preventive maintenance for computer, data communications, and/or peripheral equipment; test and adjust to appropriate standards. Create and maintain Active Directory user accounts. Create and maintain Exchange email accounts. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree in Information Systems or related field required. Minimum one to three years of experience providing PC helpdesk support; experience with Windows Server 2022/2025, Windows 11 operating systems, Linux, internet browsers, system integration of voice and data, phone systems, and wireless technology preferred. Certifications Microsoft Certified Fundamentals A+ certification
