IT Support - Applications Support Specialist Company Overview Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years we have expanded to 36 branch locations, within 9 states. Job Summary As an Applications Support Specialist, you are responsible for assisting with the delivery software for the company by utilizing customer service and technological skills to support the growth of the IT department. Hours and Wages Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM $22.00-24.00 per hour, based on experience Duties and Responsibilities Provide first-level contact and proactive support for customers regarding delivery software, handheld devices, and other supported applications Assist with the installation, updating, and routine maintenance of software applications Collaborate with IT team members to escalate complex issues and contribute to solutions Distribute phones and laptops to employees Troubleshoot any hardware or software problems Implement, configure, and test feasible solutions Identify errors in data content and coordinate resolution with customers Analyze data and apply critical thinking in order to develop processes and information Perform other duties as assigned Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Work requires problem-solving and analytical skills Professional telephone etiquette and customer service skills Self-motivated and the ability to work independently Advanced computer and keyboarding skills- intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with shipping, transportation, TMS, or manifesting software is preferred Education and Experience At least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent required An Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and answering the phone Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion Benefits Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), Employee Assistance Program, 401(k) Plan, Quarterly Bonuses, and more.
