General Summary The Desktop Support Analyst liaises between Information Technologies and user department(s), providing Tier II hardware and software support for Phelps Health desktops, laptops, print devices, mobile devices, peripherals and software. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinates with Help Desk and other IT analysts to complete work as assigned through the IT ticketing system according to ticket priority. Maintains detailed ticket documentation and communicates with end users during ticket completion to ensure service level agreements. Builds, deploys, supports, upgrades, repairs and maintains end user computer equipment including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, audiovisual equipment, mobile devices, and other devices including all peripheral equipment attached to them. Adheres to inventory and asset tracking standards and policies. Installs, tests, troubleshoots, and maintains approved software. Maintains and updates associated documentation and user guides. Provides after hours on-call support as detailed in department policy. Assists and communicates with co-workers and team members in troubleshooting, project tasks, mentoring, and cross training. Participates in ongoing educational opportunities (i.e., pursuing certifications or degrees, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations). Completes related tasks and duties as assigned. Education o High School diploma or equivalent required. Work Experience o Two years' experience with specific emphasis of desktop/laptop/mobile device software and hardware, operating systems, and network connectivity preferred. Certification/License Certification in at least one of the following professions preferred: Comptia A+, Net+, Microsoft, Networking Technologies, Cybersecurity Mental/Physical Requirements Considerable mental concentration for sustained periods of time with frequent interruptions. Moderate lifting (25 lbs.) required. Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, bending, and reaching required in the course of transporting and installing hardware. Working Conditions Office conditions with moderate noise and distractions. Possible eye strain or other discomfort from constant use of computer screens. May be required to work at other than routine scheduled times during implementation periods and while resolving technical issues.
