Job Description

DEKSTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the configuration, installation, operation, preventative maintenance and repair of the district's computing hardware and their applied software applications.
Required Skills:
2+ years of experience supporting desktop computers in a networked environment (Windows and/or Mac OS). Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Experience supporting A/V equipment in classrooms, meeting rooms, or event spaces. Ability to provide both remote and on-site desktop support. Strong customer service and communication skills in a professional setting. Experience working both independently and collaboratively as part of a technical support team. Ability to maintain accurate inventory and documentation of equipment and support activities. Experience with setup, delivery, and installation of workstations, peripherals, and classroom technology. Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques for classroom technology and instructional spaces.
Desired Skills:
Experience with video-data projection, audio systems, and general A/V troubleshooting. Experience delivering end-user training or identifying training needs related to technology usage. Familiarity with IT service management tools and help desk ticketing systems. Ability to lead or coordinate technical projects and act as an escalation point. Experience communicating and reporting technology outages and incident tracking. Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed. Prior experience in a higher education or academic support environment. #PSI1
