This role is critical to keeping production, quality, and administrative teams running smoothly by maintaining the hardware, software, and connected devices that support daily operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who is comfortable working both in a climate-controlled office and on the production floor, and who understands the importance of minimizing downtime in a manufacturing environment. This role will be based out of the Brooks facility, but will require regular travel to provide on-site support to the Salem and Albany facilities. Key Responsibilities Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 desktop support for end users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, printing, and connectivity issues Image, configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, and handheld scanners used on the production floor and in offices Support and maintain point-of-use devices such as label printers, barcode scanners, time clocks, and plant-floor terminals Respond to and resolve help desk tickets, prioritizing production-critical issues Set up new employee workstations, user accounts, and equipment; manage asset inventory and equipment lifecycle Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (wired and wireless) at the desktop and access-point level, escalating to network/infrastructure teams as needed Maintain accurate documentation of support procedures, equipment configurations, and troubleshooting steps Assist with IT-related projects such as office moves, hardware refresh cycles, and software rollouts Ensure compliance with company IT security policies and food safety/GMP requirements when working in production areas Provide basic support for conference room A/V equipment and mobile devices Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in a desktop support, help desk, or IT technician role Working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365 Experience troubleshooting PC hardware, peripherals, and mobile/handheld devices Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff Ability to work on-site daily in a manufacturing environment (production floor, cold storage, and office areas) Satisfactory results from a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen. Access to a reliable personal vehicle and proof of auto insurance Working Conditions This position requires regular presence on the manufacturing floor, including in refrigerated/cold storage areas and around food production equipment and the ability to traverse various lengths of manufacturing plant floor which may include uneven surfaces. Exposure to high noise levels may occur while on manufacturing plant floors. Must be able to wear required PPE (hairnets, safety glasses, non-slip and closed-toed footwear, etc.) as needed Occasionally requires moving items that weigh up to 40 lbs. Standard schedule with occasional after-hours or weekend support for plant operations, upgrades, or emergencies Regular travel required between company sites. Mileage between sites will be reimbursed at the current IRS standard mileage rate. Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time. Work requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills, frequent interruptions, and interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders. Must manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure when handling complaints or urgent requests.
