You do need to care about getting it right, keep learning, and know when to ask for help. What you'll do Be the person clients are happy to hear from. Respond to support requests by phone, email, and remote support, with on-site client visits when needed. Keep clients informed with clear explanations, updates, and next steps. Put your troubleshooting skills to work. Diagnose and resolve issues involving computers, operating systems, business applications, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, network connectivity, and user access. Own your tickets. Prioritize work based on urgency, business impact, and service expectations. Keep troubleshooting notes, time entries, and client communications current, and bring in the right technical resource when an issue needs escalation. Help people get set up for success. Prepare and configure devices, install applications, and assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup and access changes. Keep client technology healthy. Assist with routine maintenance, software updates, security patches, system checks, backup monitoring, and monitoring of supported workstations and network devices. Leave useful information for the next person. Maintain client configurations, equipment records, warranty and service information, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge-base articles. Help us get better. Spot recurring problems, suggest improvements, share solutions with teammates, and help clients understand technology and security best practices. What you'll bring At least three years of professional IT support experience in help desk, service desk, desktop support, or a related technical role. Strong technical fundamentals , including computer hardware, operating systems, business applications, networking, and end-user device setup and support. A logical troubleshooting approach. You ask good questions, investigate the cause, and work methodically rather than guessing your way through a problem. People skills that match your technical skills. You're patient, professional, and comfortable explaining technical information to someone who doesn't work in IT. Organization and follow-through. You can manage multiple tickets, use remote-access and support tools, maintain accurate documentation, and keep clients updated. A team-first attitude and real enthusiasm for IT. You're willing to share knowledge, accept feedback, ask for help, and keep building your skills. Extra experience we'd love to see Previous MSP experience is a plus, especially supporting multiple client environments and working with ticket queues, service-level agreements, remote monitoring tools, and escalation processes. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or comparable vendor certifications are welcome, as is experience creating technical documentation and knowledge-base content.
