This position will perform hands-on technical and physical deployment activities, including imaging computers, replacing existing equipment, migrating user data, installing hardware and software, and troubleshooting issues during the refresh process. Technicians will work as part of a project team alongside technical subject matter experts and project leadership. Established procedures and documentation will be provided for completing deployments and migrations. Key Responsibilities Image, configure, deploy, and replace desktop and laptop computers. Install and replace docking stations, monitors, peripherals, and related computer equipment. Migrate user data and settings from existing computers to replacement devices. Install, configure, test, and upgrade hardware and software. Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, peripheral, operating system, and application issues. Provide technical assistance to end users before, during, and after equipment replacements. Perform basic break/fix troubleshooting and hardware replacement. Move, install, and reconnect computer equipment at user workstations. Verify that replacement devices, applications, peripherals, and user data are functioning properly. Follow established imaging, deployment, data migration, and security procedures. Document equipment deployments, service activities, issues, and resolutions. Escalate technical issues that cannot be resolved using established procedures. Assist with inventory, asset tracking, and equipment documentation as needed. Maintain appropriate security controls when handling devices, software, and user data. Work collaboratively with technical team members and project leadership to meet deployment schedules and deadlines. Provide professional and customer-focused support to end users throughout the refresh process. Required Qualifications 1+ year of experience providing desktop, computer, or end-user technical support. Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing computers and peripherals. Experience with hardware and software installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of Windows operating systems. Familiarity with desktop/laptop imaging, deployment, or device replacement processes. Experience supporting Microsoft Office or similar business productivity applications. General knowledge of personal computers, docking stations, monitors, printers, and related peripherals. Ability to follow documented technical procedures and security requirements. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a technical project team. Ability to safely lift, move, and relocate computer equipment weighing up to 30 pounds. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Experience providing Windows 11 technical support. Previous experience supporting a PC refresh, hardware deployment, desktop migration, or Windows upgrade project. Experience imaging and configuring Windows computers. Experience migrating user profiles, files, and settings between devices. Familiarity with IT asset tracking and service/ticket documentation. #TECHIND
