• Job Purpose
• The Technical Sales Support Specialist serves as the technical liaison between Herc Rentals' sales teams, customers, and equipment operations, providing product expertise, application guidance, and pre- and post-sale technical support to drive rental revenue and ensure optimal equipment solutions for customer job-site needs.

This role partners closely with Sales, Operations, and branch teams to assess customer requirements, recommend the right equipment and specifications, troubleshoot technical issues, and support the use of tools to deliver accurate quotes, pricing, and equipment availability. By combining deep product/equipment knowledge with strong customer-facing communication skills, the Technical Sales Support Specialist helps maximize fleet utilization, improve customer satisfaction and retention, and support Herc Rentals' broader sales growth and operational excellence objectives.

• What you will do...
• + Collaborating with the Technical Sales Team and design departments + Gathering technical jobsite information + Setting up internal and external collaborative meetings + Conducting job walks/site visits (some travel required) + Gathering site details from team members and job visits + Helping prepare bid proposal presentations + Preparing lists of required power generation equipment + Coordinating with local branch and sales representatives + Ensuring all equipment is ready before the set-up date + Writing contracts to help potential clients understand the proposed setup + Coordinating and assisting in building sales-focused training for the assigned equipment vertical + Tracking TST projects for the assigned equipment vertical + Supporting all team members within the assigned equipment vertical — Power Generation + Demonstrating active participation in Herc Rentals' Safety Culture, always prioritizing the safety of team members and customers alike •Requirements•+ BA/BS University degree or GED + A valid driver's license + Knowledge of Power Generation, Batteries, and Load Bank equipment is preferred but not required.

• Pay Range:
