Mid-Level Job Summary:
We are a growing IT Managed Services Provider (MSP) seeking a motivated, customer-focused Lead Helpdesk Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for tech support, strong troubleshooting skills, and a desire to grow in the IT field. You will work directly with small business clients, providing technical support for desktops, networks, Microsoft 365, and more. This is a local position. Applicants must currently reside in the Charleston, WV area. We are not offering relocation assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide remote and on-site IT support to small business clients Troubleshoot Windows operating systems , Microsoft 365 , email, printers, and networking issues Respond to support tickets, phone calls, and emails in a timely and professional manner Configure workstations, install software, manage user accounts, and set up new users Document all work performed in the ticketing system and knowledge base Monitor client systems and respond to alerts via RMM tools Collaborate with senior technicians for issue escalation
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in IT helpdesk, desktop support, or a related field Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) Experience with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment CompTIA A+ , Network+ , or other relevant certifications a plus Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local site visits Must be authorized to work in the United States Local candidates only - no relocation support provided
