A Platform Engineer is responsible for the development of platforms that support the needs and use cases of different engineering teams across the organization. Creates reusable tools and workflows to streamline operational needs and facilitate automation tasks, supporting scalability of DevOps practices.
We are looking for a proactive Frontend Tech Lead to drive the architecture, performance, and developer experience across our multi-app e-commerce platform. In this role, you will lead a dedicated Platform team of Senior Engineers, building high-impact shared UI libraries, CLI tools, core SSR/Nuxt capabilities, and AI-assisted developer workflows across 8 distinct application teams. Essential functions
Technical Leadership & Team Guidance:
Lead a team of senior UI engineers, conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and unblock delivery across cross-functional streams.
Platform & Component Architecture:
Design and maintain scalable, accessible, shared UI components and core platform utilities used by multiple application teams.
Performance & Core Web Vitals:
Drive SSR/hydration strategies, bundle optimizations, and runtime performance across high-traffic higher-funnel pages.
Tooling & DX:
Build internal CLI tools, automated scaffolding, and modern AI-assisted engineering workflows to optimize developer experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Product, QA, xAPI engineers, and Tech Managers to estimate work, mitigate technical risks, and guide release trains. Qualifications Vue 3 &
Nuxt Stack:
Deep expertise in Vue 3 (Composition API, custom composables, reactivity) and Nuxt (SSR lifecycle, hydration, Nitro engine, Pinia).
Platform Engineering & Architecture:
Proven track record of designing shared component libraries, managing breaking changes, and enforcing design system patterns across teams.
Frontend Performance:
Hands-on mastery of Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS), browser rendering performance, bundle analysis, and resource optimization.
Accessibility & Standards:
Strong implementation of
WCAG 2.2
standards, semantic HTML, screen reader accessibility, and cross-browser resilience.
Leadership & DX:
Experience establishing engineering standards, writing CLI/build tooling, and guiding architecture in multi-app, multi-brand environments. Would be a plus
AI-Driven Engineering:
Experience integrating AI coding assistants, custom prompts, agents, or CLI-based AI workflows into developer pipelines.
Full-Stack Awareness:
Familiarity with Java/Spring Boot or BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) architectures to streamline API integrations with xAPI teams.
Large-Scale E-commerce:
Background optimizing high-traffic PLP (Product Listing Pages) or multi-brand enterprise platforms.
