Summary The Systems Engineer provides advanced technical expertise in the design, implementation, support, and optimization of cb20's Microsoft cloud and data center solutions. The role focuses on technologies including, but not limited to, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra, Intune, Exchange Online, VMware, Hyper-V, HP VME, Windows Server, Veeam Backup & Recovery, and related infrastructure platforms. Responsibilities include post-sales implementation and support, technical troubleshooting, solution design, customer consultation, and collaboration with cb20 teams. The Systems Engineer may also provide technical pre-sales support, including solution architecture, technical presentations, scoping, and development of professional services engagements. Duties and Responsibilities Install, configure, migrate, and support advanced Microsoft cloud, virtualization, identity, backup and recovery, and data center solutions. Design and implement solutions utilizing technologies including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra, Intune, Exchange Online, VMware, Hyper-V, HP VME, Windows Server, Veeam Backup & Recovery, identity services, and related infrastructure technologies. Participate in the architecture, planning, migration, and scheduling of cloud and data center projects. Provide high-level technical troubleshooting and escalation support to internal teams and customers. Provide technical guidance, training, and knowledge transfer to customers and cb20 personnel as needed. Assist customers with modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, hybrid infrastructure, Microsoft 365 migrations, identity modernization, infrastructure consolidation, virtualization, and backup and recovery strategies. Positively influence customer satisfaction by meeting expectations, maintaining effective communication, following through on commitments, and providing effective problem resolution. Plan and manage assigned technical activities and projects with minimal management supervision. Maintain expertise in Microsoft cloud, identity, virtualization, data center, security, backup and recovery, and infrastructure technologies through ongoing education and hands-on experience. Provide pre-sales technical assistance, including solution design, technical discovery, development of bills of materials, engineering estimates, and preparation of professional services agreements. Provide technical leadership and escalation guidance to cb20's Customer Support Center. Assist with the continued development and standardization of cb20's Microsoft cloud, CSP, data center, and backup and recovery offerings, services, architectures, and implementation practices. Identify opportunities to improve customer environments through standardization, modernization, automation, security, resiliency, identity management, data protection, and adoption of Microsoft cloud technologies. Continuously advance technical knowledge through certifications, training, and independent study. Certifications may require studying outside of normal working hours. cb20 will typically provide course materials and cover certification testing costs. Qualifications Requirements/Job Specifications Proven proficiency in all supported products and the ability to resolve problems of the highest complexity. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Proficient at installing and supporting high-end systems solutions efficiently and reliably. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Must maintain certification and demonstrate an elevated level of competence on software and hardware as defined by management.
