An Infrastructure Architect designs and installs computer systems and system upgrades for a business or organization. Develops technical design for new software to be integrated into computer systems and manages the integration of new system architecture. Reviews computer system performance and security and recommends upgrades and design improvements.

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Administrator to support the administration, reliability, security, and ongoing optimization of a cloud-based infrastructure environment. This individual will be responsible for maintaining AWS resources, supporting deployments, improving operational processes, and helping ensure cloud systems remain secure, available, and cost-effective. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on AWS experience, a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and networking, and the ability to troubleshoot issues across a production environment. Experience working within a healthcare-related technology environment is a plus.
Key Responsibilities AWS Infrastructure:
Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting business-critical applications and services, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and availability.
Cloud Operations:
Monitor cloud environments, investigate performance or availability concerns, and proactively address infrastructure issues.
Security & Access:
Administer cloud security controls, user permissions, access policies, encryption, and other measures designed to protect company systems and data.
Business Continuity:
Support backup, recovery, and resiliency strategies to help ensure critical systems and information remain available.
Cloud Optimization:
Review resource utilization and AWS spending while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs.
Automation:
Develop and maintain scripts, infrastructure-as-code, and automated processes to improve the consistency and efficiency of cloud administration.
Application Support:
Partner with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to support application deployments, integrations, and troubleshooting within AWS.
Infrastructure Documentation:
Maintain technical documentation related to cloud architecture, configurations, operational procedures, and support processes.
Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement:
Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and recommend improvements to the AWS environment and related operational processes.
Technology Awareness:
Keep current with AWS capabilities, cloud security practices, and emerging technologies that may improve the organization's infrastructure. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Approximately 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting AWS environments. Strong working knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and administration. Experience with core AWS services and cloud resource management. Understanding of cloud networking concepts, including virtual networks, routing, subnets, and security controls. Experience with scripting or automation using technologies such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, performance, and availability issues. Strong understanding of cloud security principles and access management. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with technical and business stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications AWS certification such as Solutions Architect - Associate or SysOps Administrator - Associate. Experience supporting technology within healthcare, medical services, pharmacy, or other highly regulated environments. Familiarity with electronic health record platforms or healthcare financial/revenue-cycle technology. Experience supporting cloud environments where availability, security, and data protection are critical. Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment practices.
