Are you a passionate and experienced firmware engineer looking to make a meaningful impact in the world of gaming accessories? This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team focused on developing cutting-edge accessories for an exciting ecosystem of gaming devices. As a key contributor to the firmware development process, you will play a critical role in bringing new product families and fundamental technologies to life. Working closely with cross-functional teams including operating system engineers, electrical designers, and validation and test engineers, you will help shape the future of consumer electronics through your deep expertise in embedded systems and firmware development. This role offers the chance to work on emerging products from the ground up, contributing to every phase of the hardware development lifecycle in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate in all phases of hardware product development, including designing and implementing firmware code, creating prototypes and proofs of concept, writing test code, and developing support scripts Contribute to the design and implementation of firmware components and tools, including device drivers, peripheral drivers, communication interfaces, input and sensor data processing, power management state machines, and programming scripts Attend firmware and hardware team meetings and actively contribute to technical discussions Perform thorough code reviews to ensure quality and consistency across the codebase Integrate code drops from third-party suppliers into the existing firmware architecture Bring up device drivers and write comprehensive tests for firmware components Troubleshoot complex scenarios spanning across multiple systems and hardware platforms
Requirements:
8 to 10 years of professional experience in embedded firmware development is required Proven experience writing and debugging embedded firmware in a product development environment Experience integrating third-party code and working within multi-team development workflows Background in consumer electronics product development is strongly preferred Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field is required Proficiency in C with 8 or more years of experience Proficiency in C++ with 8 or more years of experience Embedded firmware development with 8 or more years of hands-on experience Familiarity with embedded RTOS or FreeRTOS design and debugging Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles Experience with consumer electronics software design and development Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including hardware, operating system, and validation engineers
