Summary:
Delinea's Cybersecurity organization is seeking an experienced and skilled Sr. Director of Enterprise Security to provide leadership and execution for an industry-leading Cybersecurity program. This critical leadership role will collaborate closely with Delinea's CISO and Cybersecurity leadership in directing all aspects of Enterprise Security, overseeing three functional teams: Security Architecture and Engineering (SAE), Security Operations (SOC), and Identity and Access Management (IAM). As part of a dynamic and impactful leadership team, you will set the strategy and technical direction necessary to ensure that Delinea's environments, infrastructure, and data remain secure. This is a challenging and impactful role with security responsibilities that span traditional corporate networks and cloud applications. You will be directly responsible for delivering comprehensive corporate security programs while establishing Delinea as a leader in security architecture, best practices, and execution. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, customer-service oriented, driven to make security integration a near-frictionless experience, comfortable with driving strategic, operational, and technical execution, and communicating technical concepts with technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate is expected to stay up to date with the latest security standards and best practice security products. This position is fully remote within the US and reports directly to the CISO.
What You'll Do:
Provide leadership, guidance, and subject matter expertise to Delinea's Enterprise Security program, directing the managers of the Security Architecture and Engineering (SAE), Security Operations (SOC), and Identity and Access Management (IAM) teams Set direction and hold the SAE, SOC, and IAM managers accountable for their respective roadmaps, staffing, and performance, while personally driving cross-functional strategy and prioritization Regularly advise executive leadership on security-related business risks, and communicate best practice security to all parts of the business Provide guidance and leadership to implement and maintain control standards in accordance with all applicable compliance and regulatory frameworks Direct the Security Architecture and Engineering function to: o Gain a deep understanding of current-state security architecture o Define target-state security and architecture roadmaps and implement secure designs that adhere to security standards, compliance requirements, and best practices o Conduct reviews of current security measures and design enhancements o Anticipate possible security threats and identify areas of weakness in current-state architecture o Partner with business units to translate requirements into security solutions Direct the Security Operations function to: o Ensure proactive monitoring of internal and external-facing environments o Oversee incident response services to analyze, contain, eradicate, and recover o Establish a cyber resilience program mapping business processes to recovery priorities o Assess and report on the enterprise's ability to respond to cyber crisis events o Ensure companywide readiness for security incident response and remediation Direct the Identity and Access Management function to: o Define and execute the enterprise IAM roadmap and long-term vision o Align identity strategies with business goals and overall cybersecurity frameworks o Ensure IAM architecture, compliance enforcement, and identity governance mitigate organizational risk Manage and develop the SAE, SOC, and IAM leaders, along with broader security team staff, fostering a high-performing team culture Establish and manage a rich set of KPIs to monitor risk levels and measure security program effectiveness Build relationships with Senior leaders to develop and support project and operational goals and help shape strategy through data analysis.
What You'll Bring:
Extensive knowledge of the current security landscape and industry best practices Proven track record of solving complex cybersecurity problems protecting enterprises and products using a risk-based approach Demonstrated ability to build and grow comprehensive Cybersecurity programs Ability to innovate and find creative solutions that balance the needs of the business with the needs of security Proven experience building a multi-team security organization, ideally overseeing distinct functions such as architecture, operations, and identity through direct reports Experience overseeing a SOC function led by a dedicated manager, across multiple time zones Experience overseeing an IAM function, including capabilities for MFA, single sign-on, privileged access, certificate management, and secrets management Experience building and/or directing a Security Architecture and Engineering function, delivering security architectures securing endpoints, identity, email, cloud, data, and networks Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or related field 12+ years of experience in enterprise security, security operations, or related fields 5+ years of senior information security leadership experience Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance frameworks such as ISO27001, SOC2, SOX, Fed
