As a key Savage team member, you will own data products end-to-end — building and maintaining the pipelines that land and transform data in Snowflake, modeling that data into a governed semantic layer, and turning it into trusted Power BI reports that drive decisions across Savage's business segments. Uniform Services Time Off (USTO) Uniform Services Differential Pay A culture that appreciates team members What you'll be doing: Build and maintain robust pipelines that land and transform data in Snowflake using Airflow (Astronomer), dbt, Python, and AWS Model data into governed, reusable semantic layers — including Snowflake Semantic Views — so one set of definitions serves Power BI, analysts, and AI-driven tools Design and build Power BI reports and semantic models that stakeholders trust and actually use Use AI tooling as a standard part of the workflow to accelerate build, refactoring, testing, and documentation, while remaining fully accountable for correctness Partner with stakeholders to understand needs, refine requirements, and ensure deliverables hit the mark Champion data quality, testing, and documentation across pipelines, models, and reports Enable self-service where it makes sense — act as the Power BI resource for report builders across the business Continuously sharpen your skills as the stack and the tooling evolve Requirements to be successful in this position: 2+ years building and maintaining production data pipelines, with strong Python and strong SQL Hands-on Snowflake development — data modeling, query and warehouse performance tuning, and day-to-day build work, not just exposure Proven Power BI development — reports, semantic/data models, and DAX measures built from scratch, plus ownership of refresh, workspaces, and permissions; not consuming or lightly editing reports someone else built Workflow orchestration with Apache Airflow, and transformation and modeling in dbt, including tests and documentation AWS, at minimum hands-on with S3 Git-based development as a normal habit — branching, code review, CI/CD, and automated testing Practical use of AI assistants (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, or similar) to produce real production work — generating pipeline, transformation, and report code, then reviewing, correcting, and standing behind the result Comfortable owning work across the full stack — ingestion → transformation → modeling → semantic layer → report — rather than staying in one layer Clear, professional communicator who can turn an ambiguous business question into a defined deliverable An adaptable team player with an outcome-oriented mindset and a habit of sharing knowledge

Preferred Experience:

BA/BS degree in a technology discipline, or equivalent applicable work experience Snowflake Semantic Views and semantic-layer design, including making data reliably queryable by natural-language and AI tooling (Cortex Analyst, Power BI Copilot, or similar) Apache Airflow, specifically on Astronomer Dimensional modeling (Kimball), data mesh, or domain-driven design principles Semi-structured and event-driven data — JSON, Parquet, streaming

T-SQL / SQL

Server, MuleSoft, or other integration tooling Report and dashboard UX design sensibility Snowflake or dbt certifications Working in logistics, energy, agriculture, supply chain, finance, or safety domains Here are some of the physical requirements for this role: Position is largely sedentary in a climate-controlled office environment Sitting for extended periods of time, up to 6-10 hours per day, while working at a computer or desk Frequently uses hands and fingers for keyboarding, writing, and operating office tools Reads printed materials and computer screens, adjusts focus, and maintains attention to detail Hears and speaks frequently to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, or via virtual platforms Ability to lift, push, pull, and reach office-related supplies, files, chairs, and carts Ability to move for short periods between work areas to attend meetings or retrieve materials Exposed to standard office-related materials and substances, with low-to-moderate noise levels
