Apply Data Support Specialist Buford, GA • IT Apply Description We are seeking a Database Support Specialist to provide technical support and maintenance for our desktop database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on desktop support experience with database management expertise, specifically in Microsoft Access and/or SQL environments. You'll bridge the gap between our end users and database administrators, ensuring smooth database operations and user productivity. Key Responsibilities Provide first and second-level technical support for desktop and database-related issues Manage and maintain Microsoft Access databases, including troubleshooting and optimization Write, modify, and optimize Access/SQL queries for reporting and data retrieval Configure and troubleshoot ODBC connections between applications and data sources Assist users with Access form design, macro creation, and data management Document issues, resolutions, and create knowledge base articles Perform regular database maintenance, and integrity checks Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand data requirements Train end-users on database tools and best practices Monitor database performance and identify optimization opportunities Requirements 3+ years of desktop IT support experience Proficiency in Microsoft Access (form/report design, queries, macros) Working knowledge of Access/SQL Understanding of database fundamentals (tables, relationships, data types, indexing) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities Windows operating system knowledge High School diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred Preferred Qualifications ODBC connection configuration and troubleshooting experience Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or other relational databases Knowledge of ETL processes or data migration Microsoft certifications (Access, SQL, or IT Support) Experience with data visualization tools Familiarity with IT ticketing systems Apply View All Jobs
