About the role: As an ETL Developer I at Auditec, you'll help build the data pipelines behind our audit work. You'll partner hand in hand with our audit teams and senior developers to turn messy, real-world client data, everything from ERP extracts to stacks of PDFs, into organized, smart solutions that deliver on our promise: collaborative audits, clear results.
Responsibilities:
Data Intake:
Every audit starts with data, from clients, their suppliers, or both. Work with our audit teams to understand what an audit needs to find recoveries, and take data as it actually arrives: structured and unstructured, from clean system extracts to piles of documents.
Pipeline Development:
Build processes within our Python-based toolset that clean, normalize, and join structured and unstructured data, leveraging generative AI within the pipeline, so auditors can spot what others missed: overpayments, missed credits, and compliance gaps.
Automation and Reporting:
Build automations that turn audit findings into client-ready deliverables, from Word, Excel, and PowerPoint outputs to Power BI visuals and beyond, with code in version control.
Ad-Hoc Requests:
Audits are fast-moving. Support one-off conversions and urgent requests, then automate whatever repeats.
Data Quality:
Audit your own work before anyone else does. A recovery claim is only as good as the data behind it, so validate everything and partner with your business contacts to confirm the results hold up.
Documentation:
Keep processes documented so the next person can pick them up.
Data Security:
We maintain SOC 2 Type II compliance and handle sensitive client financial data with strict controls. Follow our security and privacy standards in everything you build, and keep client data protected at every step.
Communication:
Our audit teams count on knowing where things stand. Keep your business partners informed on progress, flag blockers early, and never leave a request hanging.
Skill Requirements:
Basic understanding of ETL concepts and data integration methodologies. Solid SQL skills, with hands-on experience querying and manipulating data in MySQL or similar relational databases. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and the ability to handle and manipulate large datasets. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Real-world experience using Python for data work in a professional setting. Desire to learn basic accounting concepts. Familiarity with leveraging generative AI within data pipelines, such as using AI models to extract, classify, and structure information from unstructured sources like PDFs.
