Job Description

TITLE:
Bookkeeper / Data Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in general office skills including but not limited to typing, letter writing, filing, and bookkeeping. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, preferably business or college training. Other qualifications as set by the Gadsden City Board of Education.

JOB GOAL
Maintain an administrative office which reflects hospitable and professional efficiency.
PERSONAL QUALITIES
1. Behaves ethically and refrains from disclosing information of a confidential nature. 2. Demonstrates consistent integrity, dependability, reliability, and professionalism. 3. Maintains speech, appearance, and behavior which are professionally appropriate. 4. Demonstrates a supportive attitude toward the school program.
OFFICE MANAGEMENT
1. Assumes responsibility for general office management. 2. Handles office problems with professional efficiency.
RECORDS AND BOOKKEEPING
Follows state and local guidelines in bookkeeping Receives and receipts all monies. Prepares records for annual financial audit. Maintains security of permanent records Process all accounts payable in a timely manner. Reconcile the American express statement monthly. Run financial reports after all check runs for directors. Perform mid-month payroll Communicate with all vendors for missing payments and or questions regarding them. Set up vendors.
OTHER:
Performs other reasonable and appropriate assignments as may be delegated by the administration in accordance with the policies of the Gadsden City Board of Education.
