Job Description

Summary The Inventory Data Specialist performs data entry, updating, verifying and/or retrieving of data into/from various systems; processing; and ensuring the accuracy of information recorded. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist the Merchandise Manager and Inventory Manager with daily tasks
Purchase and Inventory Support:
Maintain, enter, update and verify data into internal database for use by all personnel Reorder products from certain vendors Enter warehouse orders for stores Enter serial numbers for product Create purchase orders and SKU's for new vendors Verify delivery of product and handle discrepancies Remove shrinkage, defective and stolen merchandise out of inventory Upload Ace load manual orders Change pricing in database as needed Place items on clearance in database Track documents received and track completion dates Run and distribute reports Merge old and new sku's Enter dropped merchandise to create bin tag batches Place special orders for all stores through the retail support center Manually enters add-on-items to weekly Ace orders Contact vendors with price discrepancies as needed Answer central telephone system and direct calls accordingly as needed Greet and direct visitors to the corporate office This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Experience Required:
High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate; Associates degree preferred Excellent alpha and numeric data entry skills. Experience in a retail environment. Ability to problem-solve and work independently with minimal direction and supervision. Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
