Job Description

Description Lead multiple engineering teams building the large-scale measurement infrastructure and advertiser data-sharing systems that power Amazon Ads — ingesting billions of performance signals daily to deliver the analytics and reporting advertisers rely on for both short-term and long-term marketing decisions. Your work will directly enable advanced marketers — agencies and self-service advertisers managing large portfolios of clients, products, campaigns, and brands — to grow their business at scale on Amazon. This role leads the Ads Data Manager function within the Measurement Infrastructure team, including multiple geographically distributed scrum teams and senior technical product and engineering ICs. You will own multiple public integration systems for advertisers to share their first-party data, and invent new scaled mechanisms for analytics and performance reporting. You'll engage directly with external customers, agencies, and advertisers to understand their needs, partner across product and business teams to launch new measurement features, and establish the organizational vision and technology strategy to meet long-term business goals.
This is a leader-of-leaders role:
you'll build and grow a strong team of engineering leaders, set multi-year strategic direction, and influence organizational planning to drive Amazon Ads' measurement capabilities forward. Key job responsibilities
  • Establish the organizational vision and multi-year technology strategy for the Ads Data Manager function, defining how measurement infrastructure and advertiser data-sharing evolve to meet increasingly complex marketer needs
  • Lead multiple geographically distributed engineering teams — building, developing, and retaining a strong organization of engineering leaders and senior ICs
  • Engage directly with external customers, agencies, and advertisers to understand their scaled marketing needs and work backwards to scalable solutions
  • Invent new scaled mechanisms for customers to access, analyze, and act on advertising performance data
  • Own multiple public integration systems for advertiser first-party data sharing, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security at billions-of-signals-per-day scale
  • Enable product and business teams to launch new measurement features by aligning cross-functional work to organizational strategy
  • Significantly influence organizational planning (OP1/OP2) to achieve technical and business objectives across the measurement infrastructure domain
  • Establish engineering team structures, assess future skills and roles needed, and drive location strategy to meet long-term organizational sustainability and growth goals Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 5+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience partnering with product and program management teams
  • Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications
