Director of Enterprise Applications Summary:
The Director of Enterprise Applications is responsible for the planning and execution of integrating computer applications to manage business operations and increase employee productivity which includes selection, installation, upgrading, and daily maintenance of these software applications.
Director of Enterprise Applications Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads a team of business analysts with duties that include business process analysis and optimization, mapping of software application functionality to these processes, and report development to maximize employee productivity and improve decision making throughout the business. Provides data and assists in the analysis of data from various applications. Manages the application helpdesk efforts to respond to requests for functional and technical assistance for corporate applications. Establishes and maintains relationships with service providers to supplement the efforts of the internal business analysis team. Continually optimizes the application environment and footprint to meet the changing needs of the business. Facilitates decisions to set priorities for application improvements and other assistance requests with application stakeholders and is then held accountable for following through on the agreed priorities. Manages the licensing of ERP and other corporate applications to ensure the business needs are met with the most cost-effective licensing strategy possible. Ensures cross training of the applications team to provide redundant knowledge across different members of the team. Provides Project Management and functional assistance for large and small ERP implementations and related projects. This role includes "hands-on" assistance where appropriate and necessary to complete projects successfully. Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.
Director of Enterprise Applications Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or business disciplines and 7 to 12 years' experience preferred but equivalent experience considered. Specialized training or demonstrated knowledge of ERP functionality. Five or more years of supervisory or managerial experience are required. Experience with managing and negotiating software license fees and maintenance. Project Management certification desired. Proven project management skills required. Previous ERP implementation and upgrade experience. Knowledge of data conversions and data consolidation concepts for migrations and consolidated reporting. Willingness to travel. Up to 25% travel on average. Heavier at appropriate times during a remote project.
