Job Description

We are seeking an Application Development Manager to lead application-delivery activities within a Microsoft-focused, highly regulated enterprise environment. This individual will manage a small technical team, establish delivery priorities, allocate resources, and ensure the timely completion of system enhancements, application changes, and issue resolution. Responsibilities Define priorities, allocate resources, and ensure the timely delivery of system changes, enhancements, and issue resolutions. Manage relationships with external technology vendors. Work cross-functionally to understand business priorities and identify continuous-improvement opportunities. Ensure compliance with IT-security, data-privacy, SOX, and internal-audit requirements. Lead system-performance and process-improvement initiatives. Describe the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of software solutions to project stakeholders. Provide specifications through which technical solutions are defined, managed, and delivered. Ensure application stability, performance, and availability through proactive monitoring and support. Develop resource and capacity plans aligned with business objectives. Establish and enforce development policies, processes, testing practices, and quality-assurance standards. Provide managerial, supervisory, and technical leadership to the application-development team. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. At least eight years of information-technology experience, including experience in a highly regulated industry such as insurance or financial services. At least five years of application-development experience. At least four years of formal management experience. Experience with software-development methodologies, version control, and testing practices. Strong understanding of programming languages, web technologies, and modern software-development practices. Proficiency with Microsoft technologies such as .NET, C#, SQL Server, and Azure services. Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and relationship-management skills. Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on results. Preferred Qualification Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Pay:
$160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
