Job Description

The ACF Visual Designer helps shape how ACF is visually experienced across every campus, ministry, and communication platform. This role creates engaging, clear, and consistent graphics and visual assets that support the mission, vision, and ministry of ACF Church. The Visual Designer works closely with the Communications Director and ministry teams to turn ideas, messages, and ministry initiatives into thoughtful visual communication. This person helps protect and develop the ACF brand while creating visuals that feel current, excellent, unified, and distinctly ACF.

Professional Qualifications Strong graphic design skills with a demonstrated portfolio of visual work. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, or equivalent professional design software. Strong understanding of typography, layout, composition, color, hierarchy, and visual storytelling. Ability to translate ideas, messages, and creative direction into strong visual concepts. Understanding of designing for digital, social, print, web, screens, and physical environments. Able to maintain brand consistency while continuing to develop fresh and creative visual approaches. Comfortable managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced ministry environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to prepare accurate production-ready files. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Able to work independently while remaining highly collaborative with the Communications Team and ministry leaders. Experience in church, nonprofit, agency, or in-house creative environments is preferred. Primary Responsibilities Create graphics and visual assets that support ACF's mission, vision, ministries, campuses, and communication priorities. Develop visual identities and graphic systems for sermon series, church-wide initiatives, events, campaigns, ministries, and seasonal moments. Design assets for social media, digital platforms, website, email, weekend services, print, signage, environments, and other communication needs. Take creative meetings and communication goals from concept through final visual execution, creating graphics that are scalable and adaptable across multiple formats and locations. Partner with the Communications Director to carry out the overall creative and visual direction of ACF. Maintain and strengthen ACF's visual brand across campuses, ministries, and platforms, including creating templates and design systems that promote consistency. Prepare final artwork and production-ready files for print, digital, signage, screens, and other applications. Manage assigned design projects, maintain organized design files and assets, and communicate proactively around timelines, needs, changes, and deadlines. Participate in creative brainstorming, contribute fresh ideas, and stay aware of current design trends and tools that strengthen how ACF communicates visually. Proactively support ACF's mission, vision, core values, and goals while assisting with additional creative projects, church-wide initiatives, events, and communication needs as required.
