Minimum Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred Our client in the Albany, NY area is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support and maintain critical network infrastructure in a fast-paced technology environment. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys troubleshooting, optimizing network performance, and collaborating across teams. Responsibilities of the Network Engineer will include: Configure, maintain, and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, and configuration issues Assist with network upgrades, implementations, and infrastructure projects Maintain network security and support access control initiatives Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps Support LAN/WAN environments and ensure reliable connectivity across systems Collaborate with IT teams to support system integration and infrastructure improvements Respond to service requests and technical issues in a timely manner Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts Maintain compliance with company IT policies and security standards Qualifications for the role of

Network Engineer:

Minimum Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or related field required ; Bachelor's degree preferred Experience supporting network infrastructure in a business environment preferred Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and VLANs Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networking technologies Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools Knowledge of network security best practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
