Senior Wireless Network Engineer ThinkTek LLC vision insurance United States, Virginia, Washington Aug 12, 2026 Senior Wireless Network Engineer Who We Are ThinkTek LLC is a fast-growing Certified SBA 8(a) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) specializing in management and technology consulting for Federal Government modernization. We provide tailored solutions in Program & Project Management, Strategic Planning, and IT Operations. Position Description ThinkTek is seeking a Senior Wireless Network Engineer to support a Department of War client at the Pentagon in the National Capital Region. This role provides senior engineering support for a large enterprise wireless environment built on HPE Aruba Networking infrastructure. The work centers on a facility-wide access point life cycle replacement, and extends into helping the customer meet emerging mission requirements. The successful candidate brings depth in routing and switching alongside hands-on Aruba platform experience, has experience in secure facilities, and can translate new operational problems into workable solution architectures. Responsibilities Provide senior engineering support for Aruba wireless infrastructure, including mobility controllers and conductors, access points, and AirWave
Provide engineering oversight to installation crews replacing access points and cabling throughout the Pentagon
Plan and execute access point and controller life cycle replacement, including integration, cutover, and rollback
Support change management and authorized service interruption planning with Government operations staff
Serve as senior escalation for complex wireless faults, using packet capture, client session analysis, controller diagnostics, and targeted site surveys
Provide engineering expertise on ClearPass policy design, including 802.1X, EAP-TLS, certificate services, and role-based access enforcement
Assess emerging requirements and recommend wireless and mobility solution architectures to Government decision makers
Support cybersecurity compliance, including STIG guidance, vulnerability remediation, and configuration hardening recommendations
Produce configuration standards, network diagrams, integration and test plans, and as-built records Required Qualifications Active Top Secret security clearance
8+ years of network engineering experience, including 5+ years in enterprise wireless
Hands-on Aruba experience across ArubaOS mobility controllers, access points, ClearPass, and AirWave or Aruba Central
Demonstrated routing and switching capability, including VLANs, trunking, spanning tree, link aggregation, and subnetting
Working knowledge of enterprise mobility architectures and the ability to match capabilities to new mission requirements
Advanced troubleshooting across the wireless and wired stack, including packet-level analysis
Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure deployments in an operational environment Desired Qualifications Current SCI access eligibility or active TS/SCI
Prior support to DISA, Joint Service Provider, or other DoD enterprise networks, ideally at the Pentagon
Experience deploying wireless capabilities in secure or classified facilities
Familiarity with NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) deployments
CWNA or higher, or Aruba certification such as ACMA, ACMP, ACCA, or ACCP
Cisco certification such as CCNA or CCNP Enterprise
DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher, such as Security+ CE or CISSP
