This role is responsible for day-to-day network and systems administration, end-user support escalation, security administration, and technology projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can work independently, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users, and grow into broader server and cybersecurity responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewall, switching, and network-connected equipment. Support and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file shares, and user access. Manage Microsoft 365 administration, including user accounts, Teams, SharePoint, authentication, and related services. Support plant-floor and business technology systems, coordinating with vendors and internal departments as needed. Monitor system performance, backups, security alerts, and network availability; respond to outages and service issues. Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, including endpoint protection, MFA, patching, vulnerability remediation, access reviews, and security best practices. Maintain accurate technical documentation for network configurations, systems, procedures, and inventory. Provide advanced technical support and serve as an escalation resource for helpdesk issues. Participate in technology upgrades, infrastructure projects, and disaster-recovery planning. Recommend practical improvements that increase reliability, security, and operational efficiency. Qualifications Associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered. Three or more years of experience in network, systems, or infrastructure administration. Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 administration. Experience with switches, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs, and network troubleshooting. Familiarity with virtualization platforms, backup systems, endpoint management, and cybersecurity practices. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced operational environment. Strong organizational skills, documentation habits, and attention to detail. Clear communication skills and a customer-service mindset. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively with internal teams and outside vendors. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting manufacturing or plant operations. Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft, or equivalent. Experience with Meraki networking equipment, VMware/vCenter, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, or security tools. Familiarity with disaster recovery, business continuity, and compliance-oriented IT practices.
