System Administrator Full Time/Day Shift Pay Range:
$103,200 - $130,000
Summary:
Under the direction of the Systems Manager, this position has day-to-day operational responsibility for supporting and maintaining the company's production technology environment, including support and maintenance of all servers, network applications, communications solutions, devices and access control at all locations including data centers. This role ensures a smooth and secure network operation within the company.
Essential Function:
The job duties listed are essential functions of the position. However, other duties may be assigned, and may also be considered essential functions of the position. 1. Ensure 24x7x365 access to the all network servers and applications; resolve outages and report on any potential problems which have the impact to cause system outages. Daily management of all servers, event logs and alert messages to maintain 24x7x365 access to all WAN circuits, Windows Servers, applications and other network based devices. Research and resolve problems and document resolutions. 3. Ensure full compliance with IT policies and procedures concerning disaster recovery, backups, systems management, security and monitoring. Manage backups and tape rotations. 4. Ensure network and system security, monitor IDS systems and respond to potential threats, deploy security and anti-virus updates to clients and servers. Enforce security requirements. 5. Create user accounts for all network-based systems and applications according to company policy. 6. Provide Tier-I phone support and backup other team members for voice and other telecom issues as well as provide Tier-II network support for support team. 7. Perform onsite and remote support necessary to complete projects and tasks when users are not on the system, including after-hours and weekends. Provide on-call and after-hours support within a defined rotation amongst other team members. 8. Assist with remote access for employees, ranging from client to appliance VPN configurations, Cisco AnyConnect and Citrix NetScaler VPN. 9. Monitor the network, storage, servers and applications using Nagios, ManageEngine and Microsoft monitoring solutions. 10. Ensure reliable and trustworthy networks by planning and carrying out routine maintenance and upgrades and assuring security standards are being met on the overall network and customer environments. 11. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Education:
Required/Preferred Education Level Major/Area of Study And/Or Preferred Bachelors IT or related area Equivalent experience
Experience:
Required/Preferred Minimum Experience Details Required 2 years Network system administration Experience with multiple platforms and technologies including VMware. Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, replication technologies, applications and databases. Experience supporting storage, backup and related solutions including HPE, Pure, Veeam and others Experience with VDI solutions such as VMware Horizon, Citrix, Azure Windows Virtual Desktop. Required 2 years Network system administration Experience with Microsoft ecosystem (Active Directory, Exchange, Exchange Online, Group Policy, DNS, DFS, DHCP, Exchange, SQL, PKI (Certificate Services), SharePoint, SCCM, Azure, Skype for Business, Teams, ADFS, M365 and other cloud technologies. Preferred 1year Supporting telephony technologies including
PRI, SIP, VOIP, PSTN, POTS, LTE.
Experience with Skype for Business. Preferred 1 year Experience with Cisco wireless and networking and SDWAN and network monitoring technologies Preferred 1 year Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, email and web content gateways, anti-spam/anti-phishing, anti-virus/EDR, patch management, VPN's, DLP, CASB, MFA, and other security solutions and technologies.
Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Technical Experience with networking, HP and Windows-based Servers and other server technologies including VMware, Veeam Backup and Replication, Backup Exec, Mobile Device Management solutions, eFAX, Anti-Virus and other networking and application technologies. Experience with remote administration tools including iLO, TeamViewer, Remote Desktop, VNC, SSH, telnet, FTP and others.

Effective written communication skills as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations; live, via online or virtual mediums. Excellent collaboration and team building skills. Effective conflict management skills.
