Position Overview We are seeking a Construction Warranty & Service Technician to manage and complete post-construction service requests and warranty work for homeowners and tenants. This role is a mix of hands-on field work, customer communication, and coordination with subcontractors . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, solutions-driven, and takes pride in delivering a great finished product. ResponsibilitiesService & Warranty Work Perform light repairs including: Drywall and paint touch-ups Trim and door adjustments Minor plumbing and electrical fixes Perform siding repairs and replacements , including diagnosing installation or weather-related issues Perform window and door adjustments , including operation, sealing, and alignment Identify and troubleshoot air and water infiltration issues related to siding, windows, and exterior details Diagnose issues and determine root causes Identify when subcontractors are required Scheduling & Coordination Manage incoming service requests (via Buildertrend, phone, email) Schedule service visits with homeowners/tenants Dispatch and coordinate subcontractors Customer Communication Serve as the main point of contact for warranty items Communicate timelines, expectations, and scope of work Provide a professional, positive customer experience Documentation Track all service requests and updates in Buildertrend Upload photos, notes, and completion status Maintain accurate records for warranty and subcontractor follow-up Quality Control Identify recurring issues and report trends Help improve construction quality and reduce future callbacks Specialized Experience (Highly Preferred) Experience with vinyl siding systems, flashing, and exterior water management Experience adjusting and troubleshooting windows and doors Strong finish carpentry skills (interior and exterior trim) QualificationsExperience 3+ years in residential construction (carpentry, service, or punch-out work preferred) Strong knowledge of: Finish carpentry Basic plumbing and electrical Residential construction practices Skills Strong problem-solving ability Excellent communication and customer service skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Technology Comfortable using mobile apps and construction software Experience with Buildertrend is a plus Other Requirements Valid driver's license Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work What We're Looking For Someone who takes pride in their work and attention to detail A professional who can confidently interact with homeowners A problem-solver who owns issues and follows through A team player who helps uphold Gerber's reputation for quality Benefits Competitive salary + performance bonuses Company vehicle provided Paid time off Health benefits Why This Role Matters This position is critical to our company.
