Duties Help As an IT Specialist (Network Services/Systems Administrion), GS-2210-12, you will serve as the senior system administror providing planning, directing, and coordining of Command and Control (C2) missions systems' installion, maintenance and support. Serves as lead system administror, trainer and supervisor, and provides Informion Assurance (lA) support. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. May be required to successfully complete a two year trial period. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. The employee's normal duty days and hours may require roting shifts and/or days. Irregular and/or overtime (compensory) hours may be required to support operional requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial vehicles and aircraft to perform temporary duty. The employee must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance within one year of appointment. The employee must obtain and maintain Security+ certificion and may be required to obtain and maintain Linux+ or other certificions I.A.W. DoD 8570 and local requirements. This is a drug testing designed position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. 3+ years' experience with the Linux opering system is highly desirable. GENERAL EXPERIENCE
: Experience, educion, and/or training th has provided a basic knowledge of da processing functions and general management principles th enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to autome a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operor or assistant, computer sales representive, program analyst, or other positions th required the use or adaption of computer programs and systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
: Must have one year specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade th demonstres responsibility for the overall planning and coordining of the installion, testing, operion, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mission systems hardware and software. Experience serving as Network Administror responsible for the overall integrity of the BCS-F networks and their ability to meet mission requirement. Demonstred responsibility for overall training efforts, planning, and coordinion of C2 systems' administror and maintenance training for the Eastern Air Defense Sector. Experience serving as the Network Security Officer responsible for managing network security and protection, administering security measures and performing security auditing. experience ensuring compliance with governing directives on physical, operional, and communicions security, implementing network security and protection.
