The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. A successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems. The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability. Responsibilities and Duties Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.) Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure proper functionality Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications Guide users on how to operate new software and computer equipment Maintain networks in ways that optimize performance Maintain security and privacy of networks and computer systems Schedule upgrades without deterring others from completing their work Perform troubleshooting to resolve problems (repair, replace parts, debugging etc.) Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place approved orders Work with end-users to collect, identify and resolve issues Work with vendors to resolve issues Occasional travel will be required Saturday rotations Qualifications and Skills Experience within a help desk environment. Experience with Dealership Management Systems, Bodyshop, Automotive OEM Software is a plus Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles Basic to intermediate knowledge of modern operating systems (Windows 10, 11 and later & some Windows Server knowledge). Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms. (365 or GSuite exposure is a plus) Excellent computer hardware/software problem solving skills. Excellent written/verbal communication Excellent organizational and time management skills. Benefits medical, dental and vision coverage, 401k
