TECH ASSISTANT
Follows 2026-2027 School Calendar $15.85 per hour 4 hrs/per day 0.5 FTE (Final schedule will be established by the Technology Supervisor, based on district and/or building needs.)
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma and excellent command of the English Language Strong interpersonal and communication skills Mechanical aptitude/basic knowledge of computer operation Experience using Microsoft software, e-mail, and accessing the Internet Ability to work with minimal supervision, and to accomplish tasks with frequent interruptions Valid Michigan Driver's License and reliable transportation Must be able to lift 25 pounds and move equipment, ability to climb and work on ladders Regular, reliable and punctual attendance required Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
JOB GOAL
To support level 1 technology for students and staff.
SALARY:
$15.85 per hour
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES
  • Assists in providing basic technical support.
  • Performs 1st level desktop, laptop, projectors, interactive white boards, peripheral devices, voice systems, and handheld computer hardware/software troubleshooting as directed.
  • Performs technical equipment setup as necessary. Tracks and resolves technology tickets.
  • Attends monthly technology meeting. Maintains building technology inventory. Assists the Building Technician with the installation/moves/changes of building Technology resources Performs other duties as assigned.
